Salt and Pepper polished concrete – sustainable building

The Centre for Excellence for Sustainable Building Technologies and Renewable Energy Conservation – with a title like that the floor had better have something to add to the mix.

Salt and Pepper concrete floors added many benefits to this project where the goal was to incorporate many of the buildings materials and systems to attain the optimum use and efficiency.

Not only are polished concrete floors beautiful and bright, they also carry with them relatively low maintenance costs and holdup very well to heavy traffic.

Polished concrete is a very effective flooring choice to optimize radiant heat and cooling.
